1790 - Twelve cards, one Rigas

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

When you saw the spirit of the French revolution,
you were touched by the passion for freedom.
When you read the light of the French encyclopedia,
the knowledge of enlightenment wounded you.
The dark eons had to die,
the time had come for our homeland
and so did yours.
Then you lit up so you may become extinguished.
By now you knew for what reason
you had to die
and so you played the twelve cards.
