2383 - The smiling child

N. Lygeros
Translated from Greek by Athina Kehagias and Theodoros Tsiamitas

He had all the difficulties in the world
in drawing his pain.
But what’s worst is that he could manage.
But his wise teacher,
the representative of society,
was telling him always in the same manner:
-Make something happier.
And he was trying again.
Until one day he found the solution.
He draw a smiling child
and he was congratulated
by his wise teacher.
Then, the youngster commited suicide
to end at last
this torture of happiness.
The smiling child understood
how sweet death is
when you have such a wise teacher.
